It's Official! Abby Burke becomes member of NATS, Inc.

For many years I have been active in the process of learning and growing as both an artist and teacher. I have been blessed with many opportunities to apply these skills from the platform in front of a 300 piece orchestra, to the still smallness of a coffee house- I have learned the artistic process from great educators, life, the audience and the stage. Although this journey has had stumvbles, mistakes and even failure- in the end each experience was a triumph!

On July 19, 2011 I was given the most amazing gift; I became a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. This prestigious company will provide for me and my students further opportunities to explore the many facets of the performing process. NATS, as it is affectionaly called, is THE national premier vocal arts organization! I ask that as I enter into this next phase of my own journey that you will keep me in your prayers, thoughts and mind. Know that itis because of your love and support, great things like this come to fruition! God Blessed me because he Gave me each of you! I love you and I promise I will represent His love and His wisdom with transparency, grace and humbleness.

Vocalist Abby Burke returns to the PSO stage after her rousing Holiday POPS 2007 performance to bring us the music of Hotel Metropolitan Greats and other R & B legends. She will be joined by her husband Glenn Burke, saxophonist, who will be the feature performer on several works most notably the Ellington “Three Kings: Dr. Martin Luther King.”
This salute will feature selections of music made famous by Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, B. B. King, Stevie Wonder, and many other African-American greats. Special Guest Thomas Wilson will conduct this performance.

The TN Arts Commission has chosen Abby Burke feat. The Manly Band to represent our great state at the 2008 National Assembly of Arts Agencies to be held in Chattanooga TN! A & TMB performed during the "Leadership Luncheon" on Friday September 12, 2008! From the various emails and notes we have received, it appears that this performance ROCKED THE HOUSE! Thanks- Tn Arts!
